AGENCY SIDE JOBS is a trading name of MADD RECRUITMENT LIMITED, a limited company registered in England (company no. 11166085) with its registered address at Westbury House Business Centre, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 4PG, England (“Agency Side Jobs”).

 

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 2018 and any other applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations (“Data Protection Legislation”), Agency Side Jobs is the ‘data controller’.

 

What personal data do we collect from you?

 

When you register to use the Website, we will be required to collect personal data from you to provide the services you have requested. The personal data we collect includes:

  • your name;
  • address;
  • email address;
  • telephone numbers (including mobile);
  • for employers / recruitment agencies:
    • your professional role or position within your company;
  • for work seekers:
    • details of your future job preferences or work requirements;
    • where you provide us with your CV, other personal information such as your nationality, skills set, educational history, experience and qualifications together with your current employment details, past work history, employment / character references and salary requirements. Please note that your CV should not contain your National Insurance number, driving licence number, bank details, credit card details, passwords or your date of birth; and
    • URLs or links to online portfolios / websites associated with an application for employments.

 

We may also collect technical information about you when you visit the Website. This information may include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your browser type and version, time zone setting, operating system and platform, browser plug-in types and version, the full URL clickstream to, through and from the Website, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction (such as scrolling, clicks and mouse-overs) and methods used to browse away from the page. Information about your visit(s) to the Website may also be collected. The collected information is used to provide an overview of how people are accessing and using the Website. It is not used for any additional purpose, such as to profile those who access the Website.

 

What do we do with the information we collect?

 

We collect and use your personal data to provide the job listing and application services offered through our Website. When you create an account with us and publish your details, you are requesting contacts from potential employers, agencies or recruitment services regarding the areas of work you detailed in your account.

 

We may also track your use of the Website including your search criteria, interactions with other users, and how you use our Website. This allows us to tailor our offerings to you and analyse the functioning of the Website to ensure we continue to provide  a safe and beneficial service to our users. We undertake this processing pursuant to our legitimate business interests.

 

If you have created an account as an employer or recruitment agency, we will use your personal details to administer your account and may notify you of potential candidates matching your search criteria.

 

If you have created an account as a job applicant, we will use your personal details to administer your account and may contact prospective employers or recruitment agencies about potential opportunities which meet your work requirements and/or notify you of relevant job opportunities matching your search criteria.

 

We may, where we have obtained your express permission, also use the information collected to provide you with information about our services that we offer via promotional emails; however, you can opt-out of any of these data uses at any time by emailing datacontroller@agencysidejobs.co.uk.

If you fail to provide us with Personal Data

You always reserve the right to withhold your personal data, but this may affect how we provide our services.

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you. In this case, we may have to cancel a service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

 

Who do we provide your information to?

 

If and when we share your data, we always do so under a written agreement governing how your data must be protected.

Retaining your personal information

 

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

 

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

 

Notifications will be sent to candidates every 6 months to give you the option of either maintaining or closing your account. Until we receive an objection from you or you choose to close your account, we will maintain your personal data under our legitimate business interests and for the purposes of providing our job board services to you.

 

How do we protect your personal data?

 

When we collect information about you, we also make sure that your information is protected from unauthorised access, loss, manipulation, falsification, destruction or unauthorised disclosure. This is done through appropriate technical and security measures.

 

We shall not transfer any personal information to any country outside of the European Union unless we ensure that such personal information is subject to an adequate level of protection and appropriate legal safeguards in accordance with Data Protection Legislation.
