We are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and innovative Social Media Manager to join the newly-formed First Choice team and radically transform our social media channels.
The Social Media Manager will develop and implement a brand-new social media and influencer strategy for the new First Choice, orienting new and existing channels around the needs of the business in 2023 and beyond. This role will own and oversee all social activity for First Choice, working closely with colleagues in brand, PR, performance and customer services, as well as top-tier agency partners and creators.
It's an exciting time for First Choice as the business looks ahead to a bright future with a bold new strategy. Already an established player in travel the brand, led by a young, dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team, is about to transform into something very different. Whilst still a valued part of the TUI family, the new First Choice will have its own distinct personality and culture and we're looking for talented people with a curious outlook, energetic mind-set and can-do attitude to help bring it to life for customers, collaborators and colleagues.

As First Choice's Social Media Manager, your key areas of responsibility and accountability will be:
- Social media strategy: Working closely with the brand, PR and performance team to shape First Choice's owned, earned and paid social media strategies and ensure their effective delivery. Creating plans that are aligned with our commercial and marketing strategies, coordinate their delivery with your reports and other departments, and establish effective measurement frameworks and reporting.
- Content: Shaping our content from planning to publishing with full ownership of the content calendar. Working with our internal social production resource to conceptualise, brief and deliver organic and paid content that drives engagement, conversion and positive sentiment, as well as brand metrics such as awareness, consideration and preference. Managing agencies and creators to ensure optimum output.
- Influencers & word-of-mouth: Creating and delivering an influencer strategy and developing an active community of creators and brand ambassadors.
- Community management: Making sure our social communities are engaged and well-managed, supporting our customer services teams with training requirements and proactive engagement opportunities. Observing unofficial social communities as part of our wider sentiment monitoring. Supporting on crisis and reputation management as needed.
As we grow the new First Choice team we expect this role to manage two social media executives. Some out of hours' work and overseas travel may be required on occasion. ABOUT YOU
Experience of running standout social channels, and developing and implementing winning strategies, campaigns and content.
An innovative self-starter who enjoys shaping the agenda and developing something from the ground up. They will be energised by change, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and the imagination to apply new and different ways of thinking.
Outward-looking, culturally and socially aware, totally plugged into the consumer media, social and influencer landscape.
Strong strategic and creative judgement, commercial acumen and a laser-sharp eye for detail.
A thorough understanding of marketing metrics, and the ability to draw insights from complex data.
