Harmonic is thrilled to be working on a retained basis with an Innovative Design Agency specialising in creating physical and visual media to provide brands with a thrilling experience for their customers.

Based in a trendy and bustling area of Central London, our client fosters a high-performance culture with an emphasis on building relationships, both within the business and with their valued customers. The Role

As a Senior Finance Assistant you would have the opportunity to work closely with the talented and warm Head of Finance and contribute to the general financial management of an SME. Your responsibilities would primarily encompass managing the P&L and balance sheet, performing reconciliations, helping the Head of Finance with monthly and yearly budget/forecasting processes, and supporting with the month end and year end close.

The finance team is composed of this Senior Finance Assistant, a Head of Finance, and an AP/AR Manager, so you have ample opportunities to pick up more knowledge and experience over time. This is a great role for someone looking to apply their skillset to an exciting, community-oriented SME with an exciting growth trajectory.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the completion of the P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Monitor Cashflow and Forecast
  • Perform reconciliations for ongoing projects
  • Manage expenses
  • Assist with monthly and yearly budgeting and forecasting
  • Provide support with monthly financial analysis
  • Finalising month-end and year-end
  • Compile management information reports for Board review

What we need to see (required):

  • Previous experience as an AP Assistant, AP Clerk, or Assistant Accountant (at least 2 years)
  • AAT Part-Qualified or AAT Qualified

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Previous experience working in a founder lead business
  • A passion for the creative industries
  • ACCA/CIMA Studier

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (no study support but potential for study support in the future)

Location: London

Hybrid/Flex: 4 days in-office, 1 day WFH with flexible working hours
