Job Description

A mainstream Primary School in Southwark are looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them on an ongoing basis. The role is available to start ASAP, and will continue for at least the full academic year for the right person. This is a full time position, for 5 days per week. Working school hours, between 8:30am and 4pm daily. You will be providing support to children within the mainstream Early Years to Key Stage 2 year groups, who have some additional needs. You'll work with a variety of children, with varying needs, ensuring that each day is different. The children you will work with will have ASD, and some may be non verbal. So experience of supporting children with similar needs in the past would be an advantage. The Primary School is based within the Bermondsey area of Southwark. They are looking for someone who has experience of working with children, and is passionate about working hard to support them to achieve their best. You will be calm and patient in your approach.
