Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly professional Finance Assistant to join a Primary School in Woolwich, Greenwich. Finance Assistant Full Time - 35 hours per week - 39 weeks per year Salary starting at £22,000 pa (higher salary negotiable in line with experience) You will be an experienced school administrator, who has had recent and relevant experience of working with a Primary, Secondary or SEN school setting. In addition, you will have finance experience. You will have a good knowledge of using SIMS and FMS. You will be an excellent communicator, who is able to effectively deal with fellow colleagues, leadership, children and parents, as required. The role will see you working closely with the School Business Manager to effectively manage the finances within the school. Working in line with the school finance policy and procedures Bank account reconciliation Monthly payroll Managing the school's accounts payable systems Assisting with school budgets Involvement in wider school administration tasks as needed Promoting and upholding safeguarding policies when you come in to contact with childrenThe Primary School is based within the Woolwich area of Greenwich. There is staff parking available and excellent transport links nearby. The team of staff at the school are extremely welcoming and value team work. You will be warmly inducted in to the team and the school and quickly become an important part of the functioning of the school. Your working hours will be 8am to 4pm, or 8:30am to 4:30pm.
