Capital Equipment

A capital equipment manufacturer are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to mange the North of UK & Ireland. Working with accounts and securing new business selling capital equipment across manufacturing companies. You will have a strong sales background, selling capital equipment machinery.

As a Regional Sales Manager your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of.

  • Reporting into the Sales Director, you will be responsible for sales management - meet targets for sales and gross margin of capital machinery within defined territory.
  • Manage and understand territory; define, publish and manage an on-going Regional Sales Strategy, incorporating a detailed new business development and sales penetration plan, to ensure growth in sale.
  • Engage with all departments in order to define the most suitable offer for new and existing customers.
  • Build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities with new and customers, in order to ensure a steady stream of Sales Orders across all products.
  • Manage and continually increase opportunity Pipeline by executing a comprehensive and robust new business development and sales penetration plan that covers all products.
  • Attendance at exhibitions, both within the UK and overseas is necessary, along with occasional out of hour's working to represent and develop sales leads for the business.
  • Develop own quotes and sales tools, To assist in the preparation and achievement of the annual sales budget for the defined Territory.
  • Handle any customer complaints promptly to the mutual satisfaction of customer.
  • Maintain in depth knowledge and awareness of competitor activities in the marketplace and report back new intelligence information to the business.
  • Provide concise commercial reports on a monthly basis to the Senior Management Team.
  • To support the marketing function with input into design and delivery of marketing campaigns.

An exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager with the following.

  • Several years' experience of technical consultancy and sales experience in capital machinery.
  • A technical or engineering background, with an understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of the sales cycle, developing new business and managing large accounts.
  • Commercial acumen, ability to create and driven business strategies.
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated individual with good communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving License.
