  • Salary: Circa 25,000 based on experience
  • Location: Brighton, hybrid working available
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm

We are recruiting for a Press and Public Relations Officer to take up this permanent Media and PR role with a large and well established company in the Brighton area.

As a Press and Public Relations Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting external PR to build the company's reputation with national, local and specialist media
  • Media relations activity to support marketing campaigns, events and opportunities to talk about the brand
  • Handling queries from journalists
  • Liaising with PR teams in partnership organisations to build relationships and seek opportunities to maximise company reputation, both on and offline
  • Reviewing the press daily for opportunities for stories and media comment
  • Researching journalists' interests to build and maintain media lists
  • Selling into the media
  • Ensuring the alignment of communications with brand values and messaging
  • Administrative duties e.g. chasing outstanding sign-offs and case study administration
  • Press office cover where required

You'll need to be qualified to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject such as English, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies and ideally hold experience in a public relations and press office with the ability to write compelling, accurate copy. A CIPR member is desired but not essential.
