The Brand Communications intern will directly support Inspire's Brand Communications departments across our family of brands on a variety of projects that either reinforce or change external reputation in a measurable way with key internal (e.g. employees and franchisees) and external audiences (e.g. customers, members of the media, and social influencers).
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Contribute to planning and execution for upcoming brand activations and publicity stunts, as well as earned media/company storytelling efforts behind our brands' menu items or other company initiatives
- Assist with inbound media inquiries from journalists, production companies, and influencers
- Support reactive issues management process
- Help develop internal communications content for senior executives, and for brand-specific as well as Inspire Brands' web and social channels
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: - Qualified candidates will be a junior, senior or recent college with a degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing or Journalism/Telecommunication
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION: - Preferred: Previous internship or project experience working at an advertising/communications agency, or news outlet
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES: - Excellent written communication skills, with emphasis on corporate and editorial styles
- Effective project management and multi-tasking, including attention to detail, self-starting, and proactivity
- Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills, adapting to a variety of working styles
- High-quality multimedia storytelling, including on-site photo, video, and audio content capture
