Job Description

Digital Content & Social Media Executivewith previous experience in video editing and graphic design and the ability to use Photoshop and Premier Pro, who is enthusiastic and creative is required for an Academy Trust based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.

SALARY: £21,778 - £30,101 per annum (dependent on experience) + Benefits

LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire - flexibility required as the role is covering 3 Trust sites

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 8am - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 3.30pm Friday,37 Hours per Week, 52 Weeks per Year

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Digital Content & Social Media Executivewith previous experience in video editing and graphic design and the ability to use Photoshop and Premier Pro, who is enthusiastic and creative.

Working as the Digital Content & Social Media Executive you will create digital content for the Trust, working with staff and pupils across all three schools to create videos, posters, flyers and graphics.

As the Digital Content & Social Media Executive you will produce professional work that will be published on social media channels. The Trust and its member schools take pride in how they are seen by the community and your work should reflect this.

The successful candidate will be confident using cameras to take video and stills and be able to edit this content to meet the goals of a given project. Projects can range from promotional videos for schools to a recap video for an activity day for students. Other projects will include creating content for a prospectus, website, social media post or lesson resources.

DUTIES

Your duties and key responsibilities as the Digital Content & Social Media Executive will include:

  • Take video and stills of school functions, lessons, productions
  • Create high-quality videos and images for Trust use
  • Liaise with external companies and suppliers as needed
  • Maintain a record of expenditure
  • Create newsletters and flyers
  • Host training sessions with staff across the Trust on media creation
  • Assist with Trust/School social media presence
  • Assist staff across the Trust with graphic design projects
  • Attend meetings with staff across the Trust to discuss projects
  • Keep the Head of IT Support appraised of potential issues of concern

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • In depth understanding of video editing and graphic design techniques
  • Ability to use a DSLR to take a range of photos for varied purposes
  • Strong ability to create multiple and varied ideas
  • Be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Premier Pro
  • Be able to consult with staff giving them a realistic breakdown of options and timescales
  • Excellent understanding of Videography hardware
  • Confidence with using PC or MAC hardware
  • Driving Licence and own transport
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ability to work independently when required
