The role of the Communications & Social Media Executive is to provide support to a number of activities in relation to communication, information dissemination and publishing activities.
Technical Specialist skills/Experience must include
Social media - enhancing key communication strategy, develop content - writing copy or communicate content from team members using Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
Experience of Joomla (or similar) - the current company website is designed in this and so CSME must be confident with this software. The website must be regularly reviewed, updated and maintained, and new content created.
MailChimp - used to send weekly updates or specific event messages to registered mail groups - identify or recommend other weekly update tools or enhance MailChimp to improve appearance and engage with audience.
Microsoft office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) - strong working knowledge
InDesign (or similar) - experienced brochure design for web and print
Adobe Pro / Acrobat - to produce information sheets, mail out communications, and other publications
Photoshop (or similar) - image manipulation for various communications
The main responsibilities of the Communications Executive are:
1.Manage the Programme's Social Media presence (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn), ensuring all newsworthy information and reports are communicated swiftly and effectively.
2. Manage, create and distribute the produce a Weekly Newsletter
3.Overall management of the company website.

5.Providing support in other activities, such as:
a.Acting as the minute taker for the twice yearly ExCo meetings and production of a set of minutes for circulation.
b. Compile web statistics for twice yearly- including website visits using Google Analytics and YouTube views.
c. Supporting a biannual conference series. This may include delivery/design/production of the (100 page) technical conference programme using InDesign (or similar) for web and print versions using existing template, managing and design of the exhibition booth, assist with the conference app.
6.To manage the production and publication of all company literature
The Communications & Social Media Executive will be expected to travel internationally in support of the above activities because of the international nature of company. This will be approx. twice a year. Opportunities will be given for training courses as appropriate.
