Description

Zepf Center has been a behavioral healthcare resource in Toledo for nearly 50 years. Our services include child and adolescent psychiatric, primary care, substance abuse treatment, residential care, Crisis Care, and therapy services as well as career development and wellness services for patients. We provide a trauma informed care environment for patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a strong writer for the Communications and PR Manager position. The Manager will oversee internal and external public relations efforts and support the agency's community partnerships.

Essential duties of this position include but are not limited to:

External

- Develop, maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with current and potential strategic community partners.

- Participate in strategic behavioral health and social service committees in order to advocate for the organization and industry, expand the impact and reach of the organization's mission and broaden the organization's understanding of local, regional and nationwide service strategies.

- In collaboration with members of the executive leadership committee, translate the strategic goals of the agency into measurable objectives and monitor and report on the execution of the strategic plan.

- Serve as an effective spokesperson by developing relationships with the local media and serving as the point person for media events.

-Represent the organization to its constituencies (clients, staff members, other providers, partners, government agencies, funders and the general public) by communicating and translating the agency's strategic plans, mission and vision in a meaningful way that provides direction.

- In collaboration with the members of the executive leadership committee, provide insight and data to guide program and overall agency growth including information on geographic and specific community needs or characteristics, new program possibilities and potential for strategic agency growth.

- Identify marketing, advertising and outreach opportunities by identifying population needs and researching market opportunities.

- Develop an annual Communications Plan, including a budget, goals and targets for the agency which includes strategies to educate clients, family members, staff and the community regarding resources available at Zepf Center; strategies to reduce stigma and contributes to overall improved health and wellbeing of the communities Zepf Center serves.

- Provide recommendations for stakeholder engagement improvement to executive staff by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

- Developing and implementing effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies

- Coordinating content, design, social media, pay-per-click (PPC) marketing and other activities

- Managing offsite and onsite optimization projects and reporting on performance

Internal

- Ensure the implementation of a high quality, effective communications strategy to include both internal and external communication tools including management of the agency's website, intranet and social media presences.

- Internal Referrals and Communicating within the agency

- Coordinating internal Communication between departments

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

-Ability to demonstrate a strong history of written work product;

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR or Marketing or Business development or a related field required with a focus on communications.

- 3-5 years experience working in the field with experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
