Working remotely, you will be responsible for the strategy and management of Red Robin's presence in the social media ecosystem. This isn't just a job managing organic social channels - this is a strategic planning role that considers everywhere and anywhere that the brand can and should show up while proactively seizing opportunities on a daily basis.

Staying top of mind for potential guests via participation in the social ecosystem is a business-critical role that has direct impact on the bottom line. As one of the brands most visible marketing channels, you will have broad involvement in the organization and a key role in all major consumer and industry-facing initiatives.

At the core of the role is detail-oriented management and execution of social media engagement with a variety of tools and resources to leverage. You will be the driver of a consistent brand voice across social platforms when we are the ones speaking, while finding synergies and opportunities to enrich our brand voice through brand partnerships, media, influencers and creators.

Perhaps most importantly, this role will shape how our brand defines success and impact in the social media ecosystem, in a way that can evolve as social media platforms and user behavior evolves. Reporting and insights will have visibility with senior leadership and demand that you also articulate how you will continuously improve in this space.

Additionally, unlocking value for and supporting our franchisees with measurable impact will be an essential element of your strategy.

Responsibilities:

Lead the overall strategy development for how the brand shows up on social media (paid, owned and earned), taking full ownership of defining social-first content and brand voice
Brainstorm and strategize social activations for various marketing campaigns rooted in consumer and channel insights; Responsible for how marketing activations can cut through and make measurable impact in social media
Define optimal strategy for driving influence in social media via partnerships, media, influencers, creators, guests and team members
Develop creative and content plan alongside Brand Manager and agency teams
Manage content calendar and posting of content on a daily basis
Proactively create, design and edit basic content to respond and participate quickly in relevant trends/memes of the day
Oversee and strategize world class community management/engagement on owned and third-party channels (ie review sites) in collaboration with Guest Relations and Crisis/Risk team, including managing escalations in real-time and safeguarding brand reputation
Manage content calendar and posting of content on a daily basis
Provide listening and monitoring on behalf of Guest Relations team, Human Resources, and Crisis/Risk team, serving as social media point of contact. Also proactively seek opportunities to share social media listening insights to marketing and product development
Support and guide franchise partners, developing their understanding of social by screening content and maintaining their engagement platforms.
Daily cross-functional strategy and collaboration with the Brand Marketing, Category, Loyalty, Operations and Consumer Insights teams
Strategize social media performance reporting in order to monitor the state of the brand and cull insights to inform future decision making
Develop executive-level presentations on a regular basis that keeps leadership and cross-functional teams apprised of success, learnings and continuous improvement in this channel
Build and evolve topic tagging, including tracking/archive processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; or equivalent work experience
3+ years' experience in social media engagement, preferably in restaurant or retail industry
Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
Understands and handles challenges that arise due to real-time events or last-minute changes
In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
Ability to gain consensus among disparate groups and cross-functional teams
Entrepreneurial attitude with a commitment to team members and high work quality
Comfortable and positive about remote working and building relationships virtually; proactive, vocal and visible

Compensation Range: $48,400.00 - $66,550.00
