Agency Surveyor

I am looking for an experienced and motivated agency surveyor to join a national consultancies' agency team in Newcastle. You will be responsible for marketing, selling, letting and acquiring a range of commercial properties in the region, as well as providing professional advice to clients on property matters.
As an agency surveyor, you will:

• Inspect and value commercial properties, such as shops, offices, industrial and leisure premises, using your expert knowledge of the local market
• Prepare detailed reports and marketing particulars for properties
• Proactively market properties through various channels, such as online platforms, social media, brochures and networking events
• Generate interest, arrange and attend viewings with potential buyers or tenants
• Negotiate on behalf of clients and deal with enquiries confidently and professionally
• Prepare heads of terms and liaise with solicitors and other parties to ensure smooth completion of transactions
• Work closely with other departments, such as property management, valuation and development consultancy
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, market trends and best practices

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree in surveying or a related field
• A RICS qualification or working towards it
• At least two years of experience in commercial agency or a similar role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A good knowledge of Microsoft Office and property software
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car
